Options for Working with Automated Documents
With automated documents, you can perform several actions. For example, you can filter documents by specified parameters, transfer a document to another user, or delete a document. The filters can be seen above the list of automated documents, and the actions can be triggered by clicking on the three dots next to each document.
Filtering Automated Documents
Do you need to find an older document, or filter for signed (or unsigned) documents? Use the preset filters. You can filter documents by owner (if you're an administrator), by status, by tags, by creation date, and by template (document type).
Actions within Automated Documents
To trigger actions, click on the three dots next to the document. Alternatively, you can perform actions in bulk on multiple documents —for example, when changing the owner, deleting, or adding tags.
Individual Actions (Options) for Working with Automated Documents
Below are all the actions you can perform on documents (either individually or in bulk):
Action Name | Function |
Edit Document | Opens the form where you can continue from where you left off. |
Preview Document | If you’ve sent the document for signing, you can quickly view its preview. |
Download Document | If you’ve sent the document for signing, you can quickly download it. |
Download Signature Protocol | If you’ve sent the document for signing, you can quickly download the signature protocol. |
Extend Signature Validity | If you’ve sent the document for signing, you can quickly adjust the validity period. |
Set Tags | Allows you to set identifying (searchable) tags. |
Change Owner | If you have sufficient permissions, you can transfer the document to another owner (e.g., a colleague). Typically used when an assistant prepares the contract, but the user sends it for signing. |
Cancel Signature | If you’ve sent the document for signing, you can quickly cancel the signature. |
Delete | Deletes the document. |
Export | Available for bulk actions. Exports the list of automated documents to Excel. |
