Administrators with the necessary permissions have access to the "Roles" section in the left panel. Within this section, they can assign roles with customized combinations of permissions and access across the entire application.

Assigning Roles

Creating a Role

To create a new role, simply click the "Create" button in the "Roles" section. Then, specify the name of the role, the permissions it should have, and any restrictions to user groups. For more information about user groups and their usage, refer to the relevant article.

Assigning a Role to a Selected User

After creating a role and setting the necessary permissions, you need to assign the role to selected users. This can be done through the "Users" section by clicking on the details of the respective user. You can also assign a role to a user during the creation of their user profile. Remember to save any changes or assignments.

Bulk Assigning Roles

Roles can also be assigned to multiple users simultaneously. In the user list, select the users to whom you want to assign a role, click on the three dots above, and choose "Assign role."

Role Permissions

When setting permissions for a specific role, you first need to select which parts of the application the role will have at least partial access to. This section is located just below the role's name.

For each area you grant access to (marked with a green button), a new window will open on the same page where you can further specify the permissions.

The permission settings within these areas can be divided into two parts:

  1. User Rights: Here, you can allow users under the given role to create, edit, or delete data they have created themselves.

  2. Administrator Rights: As the name suggests, these permissions allow users to view, edit, or delete data created by other users. Typically, roles such as Manager or Supervisor will have these permissions to monitor or review the work of subordinates.
